2012 IS HERE!!! WOOHOO!

So with all the celebrations of NEW YEARS...I've had TONS of fun here in California...

WHEN YOU LOSE SOME YOU GAIN SOME!! :D

Like seriously, you think that all hell breaks loose and it's the end of life when something dramatic happens or when you lose something BIG in your life but then you actually DON'T. I HAVE SO MUCH TO BE GRATEFUL FOR...

I LOVE MY TUPOU FAMILY!!

My brothers and I were all born in Sacramento, CA and moved to Utah when I was about 9 years old. My grandma and grandpa immigrated to Sac in the early -mid 80's. All of my mum's siblings raised their families here in this this town. So when we come back to Cali, we call it HOME because of all our aunts and uncles and cousins and of course GRANDMA NESI. Even in the Tala'ofa ward, majority of the ward I'm related to...so like it's LITERALLY a FAMILY WARD. lol!!

New Year's Eve we had a ward dance...I was privileged to dance for the ward as Guest of Honor (oiaue, sai aaa!!!) Again, it was no problem for me to dance because I just LOVE it! The program consisted of the youth dancing, relief society ma'ulu'ulu, my lil nieces and nephew doing "Waka Waka"  and me!

Have you ever went to a ward dance and formed a big dancing circle? lol. I swear we do this at every New Year's dance. As we were in this circle, I just couldn't believe how grown everyone was, my brothers my boy cousins back from their mish, the girls are WOMEN now...craziness!! I also got to see alot of my nieces and nephews...and can I say "WOW!!" I'm so behind on having kids but it's cool...my day will come. But so happy for all my cousins who have started a family and others have built more to their lil army. lol

So how's about the next was Sunday right...OMG, Where the heck was everybody??? lol!! I swear the dance was packed but when it came to church, ummmm everyone snoozed their alarm clocks? lol. It was good though, enjoyed our lessons...Sunday school we are studying the BOOK OF MORMON and it was great timing because I just started reading it again a couple days ago. (Thanks to Ana Feletoa's inspiration)...I've been on TOP for the past few days, at least 15 pages a day! I TESTIFY THAT READING THE SCRIPTURES ON A DAILY BASIS HELPS YOU HAVE A BETTER DAY!!:D

After church we were invited to a homecoming eating...Elder Coffin's...well now, Terrance Coffin. I think I only met him twice before but because my family was going, I didn't want to stay at home by myself so I went. Funny thing, the host knew who I was and the family I came from. Okay, I'm going to be honest, I get real embarrassed when I am recognized as "Miss Heilala" or "Miss Tonga"...and they did that at this eating. OKAAA!! But I guess I'd have to live with that for the next couple months aye? The reason why I don't like to get introduced as the title is because people seem to put me on a higher pedestal or treat me better but I hate that...I just want to be "me" and sit back and enjoy like everyone else. But nonetheless, I appreciated their hospitality!! Food was YUMMY, company was GREAT, and my spirit was FULL. I met 2 elders...one from Idaho, Elder Story and another from Samoa, Elder Tafa. Elder Tafa and I spoke alot because I had told him about my trip to Samoa and funny thing is, he danced at the hotel we stayed at. Awesome experience! "Faafeta'i lava!" lol.

Later on that day, we drove to the bay to visit my cousin Sione Kafu and his wife Kava...they just got married last year and they have one on the way. She is actually due any day now. The baby is a girl and is going to be named after my FAVORITE cousin/sister, Pelenaise (who is Sione's sister). Pele is my age and is currently serving an LDS mission in Canada. Anyways, we stayed at the Fairfield Marriot Hotel in San Mateo. The couple had greeted us with some yummy food...wow, didn't know my boy cousin can actually cook LOL! Anyways, it was also the first time I met Kava. Unfortunately I didn't make it to their wedding because I was in Tonga but can I just say, I LOVE HER!!! I actually knew OF her before but Sione never wanted to introduce us to her, selfish JERK! lol. JK!! But I also knew she was a good friend of my good friend, Maile Vaitai. :) The next day we went to SF downtown and took tons of pictures everywhere. I had a GRAND time with the Kafu family!! I am excited for Sione and Kava and can't wait to see my niece:) Thanks Kava for taking care of my brother and for being a wonderful in-law, WE LOVE YOU!!

Anyways, I'm back in Sacramento...I actually couldn't sleep til 7 am this morning...I'm just so busy contemplating on what I want to do this year. I know what my spiritual goals are but I am still trying to figure out school things and moving situations, etc. Let's just say 3 big decisions are at the frontline...MARRIAGE, MISSION, OR MOVE...Being a young adult is freakin hard! I want to be a primary kid again. lol. jk! But I know if I stay on top of things, "He will prepare a way for me"....

HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!
